Hi!

I’ve just gotten around to testing the new version of the WP Users (version 1.1.2.p), and I think I’ve found a bug:

Registering for an event works great. But, if I click the “edit attendee info” link after finishing registration, I’m unable to save the updated info.

I get the same error message I get if I later try to register for an event using an already registered email adress, but without being logged in (“You have entered an email address that matches an existing user account in our system. If this is your email address, please log in before continuing your registration. Otherwise, register with a different email address.”)

Hope you’re able to fix this 🙂

Hi,

Which version number of Event Espresso core are you using?

If you go to Event Espresso -> Registration Form -> User Integration Settings

What options do you have set there?

I just test registering onto an event, both logged in and out and didn’t have any issues editing the attendee information.

So to confirm, register onto the event.

On the thank-you page click the edit info link – http://take.ms/69XCH

Edit the name fields, and leave the email blank? – http://take.ms/JcLbc

Update the info – http://take.ms/JcLbc

Is that the correct steps?

Using EE 4.6.18.p.
Settings: Yes, yes, subscriber.

Here’s what I do:

Access site as not logged in.
Register for event. Complete registration process.
Click the “edit attendee info” link on the last page of the process.
Change name, leave email as it was, click the update.

I then get the error message mentioned above. There’s also some kind of error code given: “EED_WP_Users_SPCO – verify_user_access – 348”.

Thanks for your help!

The error does not appear if I log in before registering.

So, I guess it’s the same check being done of whether the email adress is in use both when registering and when editing an existing registration? And, since the email is already registered when I’m editing an existing registration, I get the error message?

Which version of Event Espresso core are you using?

Following the same steps you posted I do not see any errors on a couple of my test sites.

Registered onto the event, reached the thank you page, click the edit info link – http://take.ms/uwfRa

Change the First Name – http://take.ms/uwfRa

Click reCAPTCHA and Update – http://take.ms/ervN2

I also tested without reCAPTCHA enabled.

Do you have a live site I can run a test registration on?

That’s strange. I’m on 4.6.18.p. There is a live (test) site, is there any way I can send you the adress in a private message or email?

Thanks again!
