Hi Event Espresso,

There is a browser security warning that pops up after Paypal redirects to my website. Two questions:

1.) How do I ensure that Paypal automatically redirects to my website after a payment is made?

2.) How do we remove the browser security warning? SSL certificate is enabled on the site.

Thanks.

Hi A,

1.) How do I ensure that Paypal automatically redirects to my website after a payment is made?

You need to enabled Auto Return within your PayPal account.

Follow the instructions from the above link and when promted for the return URL input the URL to your Event Espresso thank-you page.

You can find this by going to Event Espresso -> General Settings -> Critical Pages. Within the Thank you page settings click the View link. Copy that URL.

It is udually just http://www.yourdomain.com/thank-you/

Your users will then be automatically redirected to your site.

2.) How do we remove the browser security warning? SSL certificate is enabled on the site.

If you open up Chrome Dev Tools on that page and look within console it should show what is causing the error. If you can provide the details from there we can advise further.

Or if you can link us to the URL you are being returned to that displays this error we can take a look. If you wish to do this privately please send it to support[at]eventespresso.com and include a link to this thread so we know what it refers to.
