Booking problems using smart phone

Hi a couple of times recently customers have had problems using their phones when trying to book. These have been resolved by them using a friend’s phone or a laptop. The most recent example today sent a screenshot. You can see it here on Jing: http://screencast.com/t/mPuqgI3Q
Any idea what the problem is?

Hi David,

The error in the screenshot is a general error so doesn’t give any useful details we can use.

Do you have access to the servers error logs?

If so can you check to see if any errors are being thrown by Event Espresso around the time of those registrations.

Are you running any caching plugins on the site?

Hi Tony,
Thanks for that. I’m not sure about server errors, can I see them via “C Panel”? We are using W3 Tatal Cache and Cloudflare. Would we need to empty the cache on these very regularly? I do empty them quite often.

No emptying the cache isn’t related to this issue. If the database caching or object caching is activated in W3 Total Cache is activated then you’ll run into problems like this one. Are those activated? If so, you’ll need to deactivate database caching, object caching, or both. Page caching and Script magnification is usually fine.

Another good caching solution that we actually recommend is the WP Super Cache plugin.
