Booking a Double Occupancy Room

Hi,
I’ve searched the forums but didn’t see the answer I was looking for.
I need a way to sell a ticket for a double occupancy room and collect attendee data for both attendees. So I tried setting a room price (rather than an per occupant price) but I don’t see a way to collect attendee data on the second person. Then I thought I’d make the ticket the per occupant price, but I don’t see how to set it so that it is only sold in increments of 2. Any ideas?

You can set the Minimum Quantity to 2, and set the Maximum Quantity to be 2, more information here:

Thanks, that is helpful. What if they want to book more than one double occupancy room (we have group bookings)?

You can add additional ticket options, then next one having a minimum of 4, maximum of 4, and so on.

Hmm, that’s not really what we’re looking for. I can see how that would work for some people, but we don’t know how many double rooms a group might need- and it seems awkward and confusing to fill up our ticket selector with options like “2 double rooms” “3 double rooms” “4 double rooms”- plus the single rooms- plus the day options- plus early bird pricings- we have way too many options for our admins to keep organized and for attendees to shift through. Is there a way to force a only one ticket type to fill in an additional field?

You can add additional fields by adding questions and question groups. There’s more information and examples in the documentation:

My understanding of questions/question groups (correct me if I’m wrong) is that they show up for all ticket types- so if I make a field saying “name and email of additional room occupant” and someone books 2 single rooms, that question pops up, which wouldn’t make any sense. I would want it to pop up only if they booked a double room. Is it just not possible? That’s ok, I just need to know so I can talk to my team about how we’d want to handle it.
