I have read through multiple support threads & done a fair amount of troubleshooting this issue, with no success…

I have edited these fields within the Questions panel to make them required: Address, City, State, Zip, Phone.

But the only fields EE actually REQUIRES to be filled out are: First name, Last Name, and Email – and only in the initial registration screen. Then, when it goes to next screen where billing info should be entered, none of the fields are required, not even the ones that were required in the initial registration screen! I am able to complete a paid transaction without ever having to enter my address/city/state/zip.

What am I doing wrong? Any direction is appreciated.

MY DETAILS:
Wordpress 3.5.1
Event Espresso 3.1.31.3.P (new installation, we’ve been working to get it all set up)
EE Add-Ons In Use: Calendar, Multi-Event Registration, Permissions, Social Media, Ticketing
… in addition, these EE-recommended plugins were also installed: WordPress HTTPS, WP Mail From II
… and we are using these plugins: Scripts n Styles, Ultimate Coming Soon Page

Hi,

What payment gateway are you using?

I checked PayPal Pro which worked fine http://d.pr/i/vb6T, but it seems Authorize.net AIM and Stripe dont have validation for some reason. I will get a ticket raised with the developers on this.

We are using Authorize.net AIM.   Looking forward to a fix.  Thanks!

Also – does this mean that Authorize.net will not fully validate the payment transaction?????   I have run a test order and completed it with seeming success, but the charge has not actually been taken from the debit acct I used to run the test order… it says it’s a pending transaction, but at this point I wonder if it will actually go through since you say “Authorize.net AIM and Stripe dont have validation for some reason.”     If this means that no charges collected will actually validate, this is an extremely urgent matter I need to get resolved.  Please advise of most expedient direction for resolution.  Thanks!

Update: I checked the terminal for the Authorize.net acct and my test transaction did in fact settle successfully.   So this is not the concern at the moment (unless Auth.net decides to kick it back once it realizes no address/city/state/zip  fields were ever filled out and submitted w/ the card info).

Currently: Need to get these required fields working for Authorize.net AIM gateway.

Thanks!

Hi there,

This may not be applicable in your case, but if you have address fields displaying on the registration form (and there is an option to make them required), what gets filled out there will auto-populate on the credit card form that Authnet pulls from.

I checked the Authorize.net AIM guide and under the section where it lists out the minimum required fields (starting on page 14), billing address fields are not listed there:
