Hi there,

After going to Events > clicking Registrations under a particular event > List of Registrants, the Admin user clicked “Send Batch Message” and sent a message alerting the users that the Event was cancelled.
Where would they find this sent message?

I have looked through the Messages activity, Related Messages next to the users it was sent to, etc., but no luck finding it! Any help would be appreciated!

Thank you!

Hi there,

Batch messages would show up in the activity log, like so:

If you select the ‘Batch’ message type in the message type dropdown above the activity log and click filter, do they show up?

Like this: https://monosnap.com/file/bSb9ykKgfpGjgPHlBe6zncTfzB9xLV

You’ve mentioned you’ve checked this in your opening post but they aren’t shopping up with the above are you certain the email was triggered?

How long ago was the batch message triggered?

Hi Tony,

I am not seeing “Batch” in the dropdown. Does this mean that the messages never sent when they were created?

The batch message was triggered about a week ago, and I don’t see them in the list.

That means there are no batch messages at all in the message activity log.

Is the admin who triggered the emails sure they clicked through to send the batch? I know that sounds like a silly question but I’ve seen it before where the batch emails weren’t fully processed and so didn’t send.

The batch message was triggered about a week ago, and I don’t see them in the list.

Hmm, the minimum option we have for storing messages is 3 months so if they were triggered they should be showing up in the log.

Add a new test registration to an event for yourself and trigger a single batch email on that registration.

Does that show up in the activity log?

I guess they hadn’t gone through sending it, as when I sent one, I saw Batch in the dropdown.
However, I selected the same users and sent the same message to the user.

This is what I see. It does not send to anyone, even though their email address is in the system, and it should send them the email notifications.

That’s a message queued for generating, once the generation job runs it will show the email it will send to (it pulls that info in during the generation process).

Each step is on a cron schedule of around 5 mins, so wait roughly 5 mins and refresh the above, it should show differently.

Hi there,

Even after the 5 minutes – it’ been over an hour – it does not show up. Now it has disappeared, I cannot see Batch in the drop down, and the message does not appear in any of the lists.

Is there a reason that this isn’t showing even after it is supposed to have generated?

Thank you!
