Hey Guys! I used [RECIPIENT_TICKET_URL] in a newsletter to send everyone a reminder to download their tickets. Is there a shortcode that I can use that will send the Primary ALL of the tickets? I have many Primaries who used the same email address for their group, and they are claiming they are only receiving one ticket. |

What appears to be happening is that when I have a group purchase, it’s not sending the newsletter out to each Recipient [RECIPIENT_EMAIL] as indicated on the Newsletter template. It’s only sending one to the Primary. Example: Jane purchases for tickets for 4 people and uses her email address for all 4 tickets. When i send a newsletter to [RECIPIENT_EMAIL] with a link to [RECIPIENT_TICKET_URL], should Jane get 4 emails to each of her group with a link to print a ticket in their name? |
Hello Tammy, Have you tried using the [TXN_TICKETS_URL] shortcode in a message template? This shortcode generates the url for all tickets in a transaction. |

The Newsletter template only allows me to use [RECIPIENT_TICKET_URL], but it only sends to the first person listed in a group purchase. So if one person purchase ticket A and B, it is only sending ticket A. |
Hi Tammy, The Newsletter message type is ‘contact’ based. Meaning it pulls the contact for the registrations selected and sends a message to that contact. If you have a group registration that all used the same registration details then they are all assigned to the same contact, so a group registration of 4 tickets that looks like this – http://take.ms/4FF9j Are all assigned to the same contact and will receive a single email. The newsletter message type also does not currently allow for Transaction based shortcodes such as [TXN_TICKETS_URL] To send an email ticket reminder to each registration you would need to use the ‘Resend ticket notice’ feature – http://take.ms/PskZ7 Which sends the ‘Ticket notice email – http://take.ms/XywTY You can edit this email to suit (or create a custom notice) but you can not ‘bulk send’ the ticket notice. So each registration will need that icon clicked. You can use the [TXN_TICKETS_URL] within that message type so would send the notice only to the Primary Registrant (notice the * next to the name in the screenshot above, that indicated the Primary Registrant) |
