Barcode Scanning – Prevent Duplicate Ticket scans

We are getting ready for our first event and I have a question: when scanning the tickets, will the BarCode Scanner Add-on prevent duplicate tickets to be scanned?

Looking at the video, it looks like the system scans in and scans out users. We do NOT want to scan a user out. If a ticket number is scanned twice, I need an ERROR or WARNING to be displayed.

Is this possible?

Hi there,

On the Barcode scanner you can use ‘Continuous Check-in Only’ mode.

That will then scan the ticket to check the user in on the first scan but show an error if the ticket has already been checked in when you scan.

Is that what you are looking for?

Yes, the video was a little confusing on this point. it showed the user being checked in, and then checked out.
