Barcode on Receipts

I can place barcodes as well as qr codes on my tickets.

On my reciepts I cannot use barcodes, only qr codes.

How can I have the receipt print barcodes please. I’m using the shortcode [BARCODE_* w=2h=105 fsize=27 bgcolor=#ffffff color=#000000 output_type=bmp] and I get the error message:

“An error has occurred:The following shortcodes were found in the “Main Content” field that ARE not valid: [BARCODE_* w=2h=105 fsize=27 bgcolor=#ffffff color=#000000 output_type=bmp]”.

How can I get around this please?

Hi Rob,

Which version numbers of EE4 and the Prinatbale Ticketing Add-on are you using?

You can find this within Dashboard -> Plugins.

The latest version of the ticketing add-on restricts both those shortcodes to the tickets themselves, so I am surprised you can use QR code currently.

Hi Tony,

I’m using 1.0.3.p of the ticketing add-on and EE 4.8.9.

Alternatively I could stick with the barcode on the Ticket but the problem is that if an attendee signs up to an Event and say 4 tickets, I need him to receive only the first ticket. (not 4 tickets as he recieves now).

Either of these solutions are ok for me.

Hi Roberto,

It’s possible to set up the messages so they only receive their ticket. Are you sending out the tickets via the Ticket Notice Message?

so… back to my original question, can you let me know how to print a barcode on my receipt?

Hi Robert,

Certain shortcodes are restricted to certain areas. If it is not available in a specific area of a message type, then it cannot be used there.
