Just setup the barcode scanning add-on and the barcodes are not able to be scanned. The QR Code is working fine but the barcode itself is not. I have read through the help and tried all the different barcode types with no luck.

I have a very good scanner (Motorola DS4208) that is able to scan on paper and mobile devices. I have tested my scanner on all the barcodes I could find in my office and did an online barcode generator for the event shortcode and all scanned successfully but I am unable to scan either on the screen or on paper the barcode that gets generated by plugin.

Any idea? Please let me know what additional information you will need to help.

I know that I could just use the QR Code but submitting this for two reasons.
1. If it is a bug, then I wanted you all to know.
2. QR Codes may not print out right or may mess up for some reason in the browser so want to get the standard barcode working.

Thanks in advance.

Forgot to mention, the barcode type of datamatrix did scan successfully but this is not a standard barcode.

Hi Maceo,

Can you post up a link to one of your test tickets please? I’d like to view the current set barcode.

Can you also post the full shortcode you are using to create the barcodes, you’ll find this within the ticket template.

Sure. The link to a test ticket is.

http://www.staging1.dallasreigroup.com/?ee=ee-txn-tickets-url&token=1-0cdb78baa138d1186e09c47c5bce5845

The shortcode is the default one in the template which is:
[BARCODE_* w=1 h=70 fsize=18 bgcolor=#ffffff color=#000000 output_type=bmp]

but as mentioned in the previous post I have tried to change this using all options given. The only thing I didn’t change was the fsize and colors. Everything else I tried and no luck. Output type of bmp was the only one I could get to actually show up in the browser.

Let me know if you need anything else.

I went ahead and listed out all of the barcodes on the test ticket and the shortcode I used for it underneath minus the brackets.

Updated EE and whether that fixed it or whether just doing so cleared some cache or something, I can now scan Code 39 and 128. I marked it as resolved.

Thanks for your time.

The barcodes do look different from my prints that I did yesterday.
