Hi, I tried in every way I was not able to produce a working barcode with IE11. I tried the different types of barcode (css, svg, canvas, bitmap) but also those that are displayed and printed, afterwards they are not scanned by the barcode guns. Obviously, the problem does not occur with other browsers. How can I do? |
Hi there, Can you link me to an example ticket so I can print one and take a look? Are you only using barcodes, no QR’s? |

The only method that works reliably in IE for me, is BMP, none of the others function. Can switch out your shortcode to use Do your scanners not support QR codes? You’ll have more success with QR’s (2D barcodes) than you do with Barcodes (1D barcodes). |

About scanners, I have only 1D barcodes scanners 🙁 |
Those are scanning for me when printing with both Chrome and IE11 (The CSS version you used before did not scan). Can you not scan those? Which scanner are you using? |

I spent some time printing out the barcodes and scanning them with various browsers but had no issues with any (including IE11). I then ask another member of the team to try scanning the barcodes with their scanning (an inexpensive USB scanner) and again no issues. If you visually compare the printed ticket (printed with IE11) to what you see on your screen for the ticket, can you notice any obvious difference? For a barcode not to scan at all I’d normally be looking at issues with the ‘quiet zones’ (the ends of the barcodes) so compare those and confirm they look the same on screen and paper. Without being able to reproduce the only advice I can offer is to use a different scanner and switch to QR codes (2D barcodes) which have error correction. Are you using the scanner linked to a phone or pc? |

Thanks for your study. No, I do not see any difference between video and print. At this point I think the problem is right in the scanner guns :/ |
In that case, may I ask how you are using the barcodes? Can you not use the EE4 ticket scanning apps? There’s also mobile apps that allow you to scan barcodes as a keyboard wedge so the input is used wherever you currently have focus. |

Thx, I’ll try with ee4 app |
