Hi,

I upgraded our site from EE3 to EE4, purchased several add ons and setup the Mijireh Gateway for EPDQ at Barclays Bank.

After some trial transactions, the name of the event does not show up in my Mijireh orders listing which to me would indicate that it won’t get passed on to EPDQ either.

My whole purpose for the upgrade was to get the EE4 event name passed on to EPDQ for our accounting reconciliation.

Is there something I’m missing, hopefully spending several hundred dollars in WP and Barclays upgrades is not giving me the desired result.

It should actually send the name of the ticket. This is helpful in cases where you have more than one type of ticket per event. Can you try giving the ticket a name that includes a reference to the event name?

Josh, in an earleir post you responded to my original question:

“One other option you can look into is the Mijireh gateway which is built into Event Espresso 4, they list Barclays EPDQ as one of the gateways they support:

While I don’t have a copy of the third party EPDQ EE3 gateway to verify what they’re doing, the gateways that we built in house for EE3 all send the event name. So unless there’s a limitation that comes from EPDQ, they should be able to send the event name along with the transaction.”

Based on this I went ahead with the upgrades….

Now you say to incorporate the Event Name into each ticket?

So why then did I upgrade and spend all this money? A tad frustrating to hear this now.

So, in other words, EE3 or EE4 don’t ACTUALLY send the event name to the gateway?

If you read what I wrote earlier, I mentioned that EE3 gateways send the event name. Since events in EE4 can include many ticket options, it’s set to send the ticket name if available.

Had someone told me to add the Event name to each ticket in the first place after my original question regarding the Event name showing up in EPDQ I could have saved around 500 dollars and many hours of my time… just sayin’

I’m so sorry that I did not have it in mind at the time that you were actually considering switching to EE4. I got the impression that you were going to try to get the 3rd party EPDQ gateway for EE3 to send the event name.

No, SellEx refused and would not even say if they would move up to EE4 compatibility.

I think there are enough advantages to all this having thought about it for a while, I don’t think there is necessarilty a negative to the upgrades.

My next goal is to connect EE4 to our master access database for our clients and participants.

Thanks
