Hi there,
Our site is newsite.scienceseeds.com. When we display data in the calendar and go to June we get a bunch of garbage records displayed. n The good entries are the ones that are green. The data is duplicated several times as you can see on the screen and all the entries that are duplicated are not assigned a category. If you filter on the category “Summer Camp” the correct data displays. If you click on one of the garbage entries they all seem to point to events that don’t exist or have expired. I imported all the data using the import events script. Is there a script to get rid of bad data? This is a test database so I don’t care if we clean it out as I can input stuff back..-

Hi,

Can you check the calendar shortcode you are using as expired events should not show, unless you are using the shortcode parameter [ESPRESSO_CALENDAR show_expired=”true”]

We are just using [ESPRESSO_CALENDAR] with no shortcode parameters. the error only shows up on the calendar. I can’t delete them from the admin interface as they don’t display anywhere (but I can see them on the back-end using phpadmin).

Hi, do they appear in the WP dashboard if you set it to show all events?

For example, by default it shows only active and ongoing events. If you toggle that to show all events, then can you see those events that are on the events calendar?

Hi there,
No the events do not appear in the dashboard – I have no way to access them other than through phpadmin and by looking at the tables. The funny thing is the events are only appear on the calendar – they don’t appear on [EVENT_CUSTOM_VIEW] where we are pulling all the records (newsite.scienceseeds.com/registration_table). If I looked at the events listed in the Event Venue the first event id listed is id 4 and the next one is 52. But the events that are being referred to in the calendar all have ids that are between that range. I put up a screen shot of the ids here http://tinyurl.com/qd7qa7t. I checked all the filter categories (pending/deleted etc..) and I can’t get any of the offending events to display.

I checked the DB and the records are all listed in the DB (i.e they have event ids) but I have no idea what constitutes a bad record for the calendar and why the records where created if the data was incomplete. I don’t have the .csv that i used to upload the data. I only remember that the .csv didn’t return anything so I was sure nothing loaded. I modified it, ran it and then I got back that events were in the db. If you tell me what tables to remove them from I can go ahead and try that. I would prefer not to just delete everything

Hi,

Please BACK UP your database before attempting to remove anything from it directly.

The events are found in wp_events_detail table.

I’m assuming you won’t have any attendees registered for them so deleting from wp_events_detail should be sufficient (there might be some random data left over tbut it should not be much or cause issues.
