Hi – we have a admin fields that are dropdown fields – how can we set these to be prepopulated for each registration? |
|
Hi, The dropdown fields will have the first option value selected. If you want to change the order of the fields, that will result in a different value selected when the form is generated. |

Hi, Can you explain what you mean by “When I extract the registrations”? I’m afraid I’m not familiar this term. |
|
Apologies if I was not clear. I was meaning when extract the list of All Registrations using the “Filtered CSV Report” |
|
Yeah, that changes this a little. The CSV report will not output any data for registrations unless it was selected/saved to the database, so if you haven’t edited the registration since adding the admin only question and saved the registration form answers the CSV doesn’t have anything to output. Currently, the only way to force a default value into those field in the CSV is using custom code to hook in and specifically target those fields, then pull the first answer into the column. |

Thanks for getting back to me. I’m not sure I understand. The admin fields were set up before the events were created, so I’m not sure why they are not appearing. I’m not sure I understand the purpose of these admin fields are, if the information is not assoicated with a registration. |

Have you, as the admin, edited the registration and saved the admin only fields from within the admin? The admin only fields are intended to be used as fields for the admin to set specific values on so if the admin hasn’t set any values, nothing has been saved for that question. The questions are assigned to the registration but if you haven’t set anything in an admin field the expectation is that as the admin, you would know either want a specific value set or know what an empty field would mean. |

Thanks for the explaination – that makese sense! |
