Need to update but I get this message: “A new version of Event Espresso is available. View What’s New with version 3.1.36.6.P. A valid Support License Key is needed to enable automatic upgrades. Your current account does not allow automatic upgrades on more than one domain. Please log in to your Event Espresso account to manage your Support License Keys” How do I make my “Support License Key” valid?

Hi Suzanne,

I have reset your license key.

Please go to Event Espresso -> General Settings.

Remove the license key (cut) and save the settings, replace the license key (paste) and save the settings once more.

Be sure to check for any white space before/after the key when pasting.

That should then allow automatic updates to work once again.

Hmm. Did that…doesn’t seem to be updating.

Is the notice posted above still displayed?

If you go to Event Espresso -> General Settings, then hit save make no changes. That will force a recheck of your EE plugins for any updates, do you then see any update notices?

We have recently made some changes to the auto update engine, if the above does not work I will re-issue you with a new license key.

Its operating differently now but still not updating. I see the message: “The following plugins have new versions available. Check the ones you want to update and then click “Update Plugins”.
Event Espresso
You have version 3.1.36.4.P installed. Update to . View version details.
Compatibility with WordPress 4.0: Unknown”

I follow through the “Update Plugins” prompts, it appears to do its thing, but then the Update button still indicates I need to update EE.

Hi Suzanne, we recently turned off automatic updates while investigating a network attack on our site. Those have been restored:

https://eventespresso.com/2014/10/automatic-updates-re-activated/

I’ve released your support license key. Please backup your WordPress site and then follow the steps in the confirmation email to reactivate it.

Thanks

Lorenzo
