Automated Upcoming Event Notifications being sent on draft events

We have events that have been published, people have registered, but we have had to make the event a draft instead of cancelling so we keep the registrations for when the event does go ahead.

However, the Automated Upcoming Event Notifications are still being triggered despite the event being a draft.

Hi there,

I can’t reproduce this and looking over the query used to pull the notification it explicitly pulls events that have a status of publish or sold_out, a draft event will have a status of draft.

Which message type from the add-on are you using? Event and/or Datetime?

Are you using the default template or a custom template set up on the event?

Hi Tony, the events were published but then changed to draft.
We are using both Event and Datetime notifications and they are the standard templates.

Yeah, I figured but when you update to draft it changes the status to ‘draft’ in the database.

And both of those are being triggered?
