We installed the new plugin Automated Upcoming Event Notifications Add-on, and read the next set of instructions, to Confirm that Scheduled events are running through Site Health, we looked in Tools and we did NOT see that ‘Scheduled events are running’ we did see the following message: A scheduled event has failed The scheduled event, AHEE__EE_Messages_Scheduler__generation, failed to run. Your site still works, but this may indicate that scheduling posts or automated updates may not work as intended.
We then contacted our Host provided and they confirmed that WP-Cron was up and running.
Then we went to the next set of instructions,’Check that the messages system is sending On a separate request’ – ours is set to
Generate and send all messages: on the same request.
So this is where we are stuck as it said to reach out to the support team. Help please as we would love to use the automated messages to remind our registrants about their upcoming classes!
In order to use Automated Upcoming Event Notifications you’ll need to change the message settings to “On a separate request”. After you make that change it’s advised to test a registration to make sure the emails still get sent.
