Hi,
I have upgraded from EE3 to EE4. In EE3 there was promotions you could add for early registration that automatically showed the discount. As far as I can see in “promotion” addon for EE4, you must use a promotion code to get the same result?
Is there any way I can add a auto discount for those registering for an event before a set date?
With the promotions add-ons you can create a ‘codeless’ promotion (don’t set a promotion code in the field) and apply it to the event. That promotion will automatically be applied to the event between the dates it is set to do so.
Another option is to create an additional ticket type with the sale starts date set to now (or in the past) and then the sell until date set to the date/time you want to switch to ‘normal’ pricing. You then have the sale start date/time set to match the sell until date/time on your ‘early bird’ ticket (so your creating a ticket that goes on sale early for a set price, then when that ends the next ticket starts to go on sale at the normal price).
Will either of those work for you? I can provide more details on how to set either of them up if needed.
