Hello, For events that are zero cost, I am successfully redirected to an order completion page, this is only occurring on pages that require payment, thus, link out the authorize & can’t get back. http://www.kaeryconcealed.com is the website. I have several other websites running with the host, and have not experienced this issue with their installs of WP or EE on the same host. Any help would be appreciated! |
Hi there, It may help to know what exactly you tried from reading the other forums. Do the other websites where you use EE also use the same theme and plugins? There may be something from the theme or other plugins that’s unique to the kaeryconcealed site that’s slowing the page load and causing the slowdown. |

I took a quick look at http://www.kaeryconcealed.com/transactions which is the page that Authnet will try to send the transaction info to and it does load quite a bit of heavy script files. I can also see that the Thank You page on your site has had everything stripped away. If that’s something you tried to speed things up, that will work, except what needs to change is the Thank You page should be changed back, and the Transactions page can use the minimalist treatment. Hope that helps. |

Hello Josh – I had tried a few different options with forcing SSL & not, that said I don’t seem to have an option in EE to enable or force it. Wasnt sure if maybe the combination of SSL on/off is part of the issue. I did apply the EE stripped template to the thank you page, based on your recommendation I turned TY back to default template and changed the Transaction page to now use the minimal template. Tested another transaction, but ended in the same result. I did create a test event as well, just to have a lower payment for the testing, here: http://www.kaeryconcealed.com/training/test-event/ The other websites are using the same plugins along with EE, however they are using a different WP theme. I didn’t anticipate a theme issue for the development of this one. Are there some additional recommendations to the theme or pages themselves to try and eliminate them as the issue? Or to restate that, to get EE to work with Jupiter the theme? |
Hi again, I actually have the Jupiter theme set up on my dev site and it’s working great with the Authnet SIM gateway. You’re welcome to try registering for an event if you’d like: REMOVED BROEKN LINK You’ll note the site is using SSL and the gateway is in developer mode so it only takes fake credit card numbers. You can set the site to use SSL by installing and activating the Really Simple SSL plugin: I can also recommend getting set up with an Authorize.net developer account for testing and troubleshooting. When you use the developer account’s credentials in the Event Espresso > Payment Methods page you’ll set the option Debug Mode On? to Yes. |

September 22, 2017 at 11:04 am Do both the website plugin EE & Auth.net need to be in developer mode for the testing? My assumption is that the Auth.net developer account would then have it’s own id/key that i’d enter in to EE for the testing? I did run a test transaction on your jupiter setup, which redirected successfully, so that’s encouraging… Though I’m not sure where to target troubleshooting first. I’m not presently forcing SSL, would that contribute to a handoff issue from Auth.net since that connection is using SSL? Thanks |

That’s correct. In Event Espresso’s > Payment Methods > Authnet page you can set Debug Mode to On if you enter in credentials from a developer account. An Authnet Developer account is required to use debug mode, as far as I know there isn’t a “developer” mode.
Quite possibly yes which is why I mentioned installing the Really Simple SSL plugin. |

September 22, 2017 at 11:30 am Thanks, I’ll give this a shot and report back. One clarification on EE settings. I’ll enter the API ID & Key for my authnet sandbox. Then do I set Debug Mode to On, and Send Test Transactions to Yes/No? |
September 22, 2017 at 11:45 am Send test transactions isn’t used when Debug mode is On. |

September 22, 2017 at 11:46 am Hey Josh… So I noticed that when I checked out on your jupiter demo, you didnt have a page preloader running. So that caught my attention. I used the jupiter theme options to disable the preloader globally on the site and ran a test transaction in debug/sandbox mode. So, I suppose my concession could be that I leave the preloader disabled permanently. It would be nice if I could have it on for the content pages, and disabled for just all of the transaction level/EE pages to ensure it would work. For now, I’ll leave it off globally, so that I can get the site into production right away, however if you have any knowledge or suggestion on that, I’d appreciate it. Nonetheless, I am always appreciative of the quality of your support and the thoroughness of your answers. Jeff |
September 22, 2017 at 11:54 am Hi Jeff, Good to hear. I’m not an expert on the Jupiter theme, but it might be worth your while to check with Artbees and see if there’s a way to selectively deactivate the preloader for specific pages. |

Will do Josh! It was worth asking the question since you’re support is fantastic. I’ll do some digging within Artbees and see what I can come up with. Thanks for helping me navigate the issue, much appreciated! Jeff |
