I am trying to remove “Email” from the Questions Group which is titled “Personal Information” but this message is appearing: “Attention: This is a “System Group”, some settings may be disabled.”
I am an admin, so I should have full control over the questions being asked, but for some reason I cannot remove this question.

Hi Brent,
You can not remove the 3 main system questions from the Personal Information question group. First Name, Last Name & Email are required questions and must be included within the Personal information question in order for Event Espresso to function correctly.
Registration needs this personal information at least once for registration(s).

I am still going to ask for the email, I would just like it moved into a different group of questions.
Is there a way to move it to a different group and remove it from the “Personal Information” group?

Not currently.
Event Espresso core expects those questions to be within that group. However you can alter the group name displayed on the registration page, and add other custom questions within that group, such as – http://take.ms/SLM9a
