The plugin is updated to the latest version. Nothing has changed. Still there is a ‘technical problem’ notification when people try to sign in. |
|
It is for attendees not possible to apply for an event. The message is: ‘there are technical difficulties’. Everything is updated. Running latest php version (tried older ones but did not work). I tried disabling all other plugins. Did not work. Kind regards, |

Ok, so this error:
Is not related to the EE update, it means your server has moved from PHP8.0 to PHP8.1+ We fixed the translation string responsible for this a long time ago, do you have any custom translations in |

And I did not want the website being translated into English. I uploaded the files because it works to translate the website to Dutch. |
Some things have changed, in your opening post, you mentioned nothing changed?
From which version previously?
Which error? I can only work from the info you send over.
That’s the same error.
Exactly the same error thrown in the logs? The issue with the error you’ve provided is with an incorrect translation, if you have old translation files loading on your site they’ll have the old string loading. |
|
Then don’t remove the translation files? You can update them rather than remove them but first, we need to confirm which file is loading so we can actually fix the file in the correct location.
Sure, I didn’t suggest removing the files. You can download the latest translation files from here our GlotPress site. However, without first confirming which files your loading originally and then working around that I’m just guessing as to where you would upload them. |

I’m not sure where I said anything like that? Can you send me the PO file for your translations so I can take a look?
The error you posted, does not happen in PHP7.X, its from a change in PHP8. So if you were running into errors prior to the above, it must have been a different error, but I can only work on the info you’ve given me. |

Open up your .PO file, the string your looking for is:
In the translation, your looking for a missing For example The first place holder is missing an |

Thank you, the translations were the problem. It is solved now. |
Oh, you found it? Awesome 🙂 May I ask which string it was? |
|
|
It was the translations. I needed to update the translations. But if you don’t know that from the beginning it’s a search. Thank u for everything! |
|
I do not know what string it was. Sorry. I would say to everybody having this problem: update your mo file! |
🙂 Well, I’m glad it’s fixed all the same. Any further issues just let me know. |

Never met u but I know u now for 15 years at least. Thank u! Because u led me to the solution. |
Well… now I feel old! Time flys 🙂 |

And if you would make it possible to add ‘event’ shortcode to the email templates in the recipient subject I would be really happy! Until now I had to add it manually and I think the recipient wants to see directly what he/she is applying for in the subject of the email. Like in: Thank you for applying to the congres/event of …. |
