Is it at all possible to have [ESPRESSO_EVENT_ATTENDEES] display attendees for only event author’s events? I was under the impression that the shortcode pulled attendee list based on current user but was advised by an Event Organizer that they were seeing attendees for another user’s event.

Hi there,

Is it at all possible to have [ESPRESSO_EVENT_ATTENDEES] display attendees for only event author’s events?

Where are you using that shortcode currently?

The shortcode pulls the attendees for either the current event (if loading within an event) or for the event_id passed to it.

I was under the impression that the shortcode pulled attendee list based on current user…

Can I ask where you got that impression from?

The shortcode pulls the attendees for either the current event (if loading within an event) or for the event_id passed to it.

It is currently on an “Attendees” Page in the Navigation Menu.

What would you consider to be the best option to have a nav link that when clicked will show attendees for currently signed in author?

Can I ask where you got that impression from?

It was more of an assumption based on the fact that the mobile app filters by event author.

So, in that case, it’s pulling the next available ‘active’ event, and if one is not available it’s pulling the next available upcoming event then display the details for either of those.

That’s not really how the ESPRESSO_EVENT_ATTENDEE’s shortcode was intended to be used, its possible but will need some custom development.

I’ll do a little digging and see what I can find for this.

It was more of an assumption based on the fact that the mobile app filters by event author.

The app filters events by the author then displays the attendees for the event available when selected, the shortcode is intended to display the events for a specific event, if you don’t pass an event id to it to tell it which event it does its best to guess.
