I am using Event Espresso 4. My customer sells tickets for courses/events/conferences. Many times a company will purchase tickets for multiple employees/students. In the registration checkout, I would like to show the company name and other information as the payee without designating them as “Attendee 1”. The company is not an “attendee” just the “payee”. Only the employees/students should be shown as attendees. I’ve checked the forums and it looks like this question has been asked for a few years. Is there currently a solution? This could be a real roadblock for my customer.
Ee doesn’t have the option to split an attendee from the payee, but you can do it with custom questions.
You would need a ‘Payee Information’ question group, to which you add all of the payee questions you want ina single group.
Then on the event you set the ‘Primary Registrant’ question groups to include the payee information group.
Then update the message templates to use the answers to your custom questions in place of what we use now.
Its a little more admin work to set up but works to split the attendee, the downside is that if the Payee IS the attendee they still need to provide the payee information.
