I just upgraded to EE4 everything from personal license in order to use the attendee mover. I was prompted to backup and upgrade to Event Espresso to 4.9
My system information
WordPress Version: 4.7.5
PHP Version: 5.6.30
MySQL Version: 5.6.35
Event Espresso Version: 4.9.38.p

I saw on another forum thread to install rest api plugin to help with attendee mover which I’ve done with no change. The events are not showing in the step 1 drop down menu.

Update: In my original post I am using Chrome, as I do for 99.9% of my activities.
I tried edge and was not able to see a drop down list but was able to search for events. It only shows month & year of event. How can I get it to show month & date instead?
How can I use attendee mover on Chrome?

You should not need any plugins for the mover add-on to work, your version of WordPress has the REST API included within core. I recommend deactivating the plugin you installed and use the REST API from within WP Core.

I use Chrome and tested the attendee mover add-on to confirm I could see the events, which I can. It sounds there is an issue with the request made to list the events although I’m not sure why that would only happen with Chrome.
Do you have access to the servers error logs? If so take a look within those and see if EE is throwing any errors.
If you enable WP_DEBUG and search for an event in the addon are any eoors shown then?

I deactivated the additional plugin. Though no change on Chrome. I definitely need to get it to work on Chrome though.
Where do I find the servers error logs?

It can be different for every host, I can let you know the most common locations.
If you have some form of control panel that you log into on your host’s site (client portal etc) that will often have a section you can use to view you error logs.
If not you’ll need FTP access or similar and look for error.log or error_log within the root directory.
If you are unsure I can take a look directly within the admin if you prefer, I’ll need both WP Admin login details and FTP credentials and you can use this form:

Those log items do not help. If you deactivate all other plugins except Event Espresso and the attendee mover, and use the theme test drive plugin to switch to one of the twenty* themes does the Event list begin to populate?
