I am running into an issue where certain users do not get the fields required to attribute registrations to their user accounts, the attendee id gets populated on the registration, but the custom user meta fields ‘wp_EE_Attendee_ID’ and ‘_wp_EE_Attendee_ID’ aren’t added. This is not an issue with all users, a new user account gets the proper fields needed for everything to work.
EE_Attendee_ID is set under a couple of conditions.
1. The current registration being processed is the primary registration of a group (if only 1 ticket has been selected that single registration is the primary registration. If multiple tickets are selected the primary registration is the ‘first’ registration in that group).
2. The user was logged and….
i. We have a matching WP User and EE_Contact (First Name, Last Name, Email, must all match exactly)
ii. EE created a user account from the registration.
So, a couple of questions, are you allowing group registrations (more than one ticket)?
If the user is correctly logged into their account are they registering for themselves (meaning the registration data matches their WP User details exactly) or someone else?
