I have events that were already in EE before the update. I am adding more datetimes and tickets for those events. First, I created all of the new tickets by copying a previous ticket and editing it, then I created the datetimes the same way, and assigned them to the new tickets. When I got to the 3rd and final new datetime, it wouldn’t let me remove the original ticket from that datetime because it said it was the only remaining datetime for the ticket – NOT TRUE. So then I went to the tickets, to assign the tickets to a datetime (instead of the other way around). None of the tickets had datetimes assigned to them; not even the tickets that were already there from a long time ago. I assigned them, saved, checked back, and nothing saved. I tried again. Still couldn’t uncheck the last datetime, even though it was definitely assigned. I saved again, went back, and I could remove the extra ticket from the last datetime, but when I got to the first new datetime, it had ALL the tickets checked!

I am not using the new advanced editor.

I am beyond frustrated. What am I supposed to do now to add all of my new class dates?
I will add screenshots in a private message.
Thanks for your help.

We have run into a similar issue as well. I have opened a seperate ticket, but i have a feeling it is related.

Hopefully there is a simple solution to this.

Thank you for your notes. This is a known issue, and something we’re looking into fixing, but it can also be alleviated by using the Advanced Editor. Eventually the legacy editor will be discontinued and unsupported, so we do recommend switching to the Advanced Editor. The Advanced Editor is also required for using the upcoming Recurring Events add-on.

I will try that. I hope it fixes it because as of right now, no one can register for anything because they are getting page not found when the hit the Register Now button. I’ve had to put the site in maintenance mode so that I can try and resolve this. I hope switching to the Advanced Editor will correct this, otherwise I’ll be opening another ticket.

Sure. I’m quite confident the Advanced Editor will help.

Ok, so I switched to the advanced editor, which solved the saving problem, but now I have another issue. In the old version I could copy datetimes and then copy tickets and assign them to their corresponding day. With the new version, if I copy the tickets first, I can’t save without assigning them to another date, and then coming back and changing it later. Or, if I copy the datetimes first, it won’t let me save them without existing tickets to assign them to. What is the new process supposed to be? even when I create a new ticket, instead of copying an old one, the same thing happens.

Yes, that’s the current process.

If we just had the option to create a datetime without attaching it to a ticket, or to create a ticket from the datetime at the time you’re supposed to attach the ticket, or vice-versa, that would make it a lot easier.

Yes, we’re going to try and do the latter. Otherwise, you run the risk of orphaning a ticket from a datetime which would cause incomplete data in the registration records, and can also cause overselling or underselling.

Ok, thanks.
