I have purchased permissions basic and pro. I have everything installed and working but wanted to further improve things.
I have WooCommerce Groups / Subscriptions setup. I want to know if there is a way to automatically assign a user the “event_manager_role” upon a subscription signup or if there is a way in general to automatically assign that role with the permissions pro.
I don’t have the WooCommerce code in front of me to take a look, but I would look for a hook in the subscription process that lets you set the role. Can you give more details about the setup? Is it a paid WooCommerce plugin? If so, can we take a peek at the code and how you have it set up on your site?
I could give you access to the site so you could look at it in the editor. It is a paid for subscriptions plugin by WC. Groups is a free plugin and it allows you to add roles to groups but it didn’t do anything when I added that role.
Let me know if you want access and where to send it.
The capability that needs to be assigned is espresso_event_manager.
Once a user has that capability any page set to Event manager in the Event Espresso User Permissions menu will be available to that user.
Regarding the automatic assigning of that capability, you would need to refer to your membership plugins documentation, as it is not something EE will do.
User accounts that have the Event Manager role (the Event Manager role is the role that R&P Pro adds) role are automatically limited to have access to edit their events only.
