Approved, but not Paid – Why?

Hi, I’ve noticed a transaction that was marked “Approved” even though the guest did not make a payment. Hopefully this is an isolated incident …

I have the default set to “Pending Payment” – so I don’t know how this happened.

As you can imagine, this could cause a big problem if it is occurring often … so now I have to comb through all entries and make sure everyone paid… is there an easier way to do this? Something I can filter for?

The reason may be the complete Instant Payment Notification via PayPal Express didn’t make it back to your site. If you check within your PayPal account, is there a payment for registration 2547?

Ok, I have double checked – and it is now cancelled. But when I sent that sreenshot, it was 9 days after the initial registration. If there are others that stay “approved” like that for 9 days, that could affect overall volume of “available” spots – and coudl pose a problem. Any idea why that happens and how I can prevent it?

You can avoid this by checking the payment status. If the payment did not clear and the reg status is set to approved, you can manually set the reg. status to Pending Payment.
