Approved but incomplete

I have bookings in my system that are approved but incomplete meaning they have no payment made. I am pretty sure that the customers are getting “Approved” emails too as some have told me.
I changed it the following settings yesterday:
Event Espresso – Events > Default Registration Status > Not Approved
But its still happening.
Also how do I go and delete all those old incomplete or cancelled orders as there is a lock next to them even though no payments have been made. Its a hassle to have to do each one.
I am getting a large amount of people with failed, abandoned and incomplete tickets so would like you to check that its set up correctly.

Hi there,

I changed it the following settings yesterday:
Event Espresso – Events > Default Registration Status > Not Approved
But its still happening.

That setting is the default for all new events. Your current events will already have that setting set within the event itself.

If you edit one of the events this is happening on you’ll see a Default Registration status field within the Event Registration Options – http://take.ms/UGECC

What is that set to? (From looking over your events I suspect they are set to Approved)

Also setting the default registration status to Not Approved means you will need to manually approve all registrations before payment can be made, is that expected?

Most users want that setting to be Pending Payment.

Also how do I go and delete all those old incomplete or cancelled orders as there is a lock next to them even though no payments have been made. Its a hassle to have to do each one.

You need to edit each transaction and remove the pending payment from within it, that will unlock the registration.

With PayPal payments a pending payment is created within the Transaction that is then updated by the PayPal IPN, so a payment is already within the transaction.
