Applying Single Payment to Multiple Transaction Items

I have an event with a single paid ticket and multiple free tickets. When I apply a check payment to the registration event (of four tickets, 1 paid and 3 free), only the paid event registration is changing to “Approved”, the free tickets stay “Pending Payment”. Must I edit each of these free registration events manually and change each to “Approved”. Or is there something I’m doing wrong in accepting the payment?

You’re not doing anything wrong when you’re applying the payment, but you’ll need to set the status of the other registrations to Approved. You can set those in bulk from the Event Espresso > Registrations screen, by checking the boxes next to each of the registrations there, then select Approve Registrations > then click Apply.
