Hello,

First thank you! I am loving EE4. I am trying to make the registration process easier for when I am manually checking people in as present or adding people. Is it correct for me to assume that there is currently no app that works with EE4. If so are there plans for one or any 3rd part apps that may help me do this?

Secondly withing EE4 is there a way for it to remember names and emails so when I am registering people myself manually I don’t have to keep typing the same ones in.

Thirdly Can I use coupon codes on the back end when I am adding people manually that would be very helpful

Lastly Where do I add in payment options for example from drop down list I can select “other” I would like to add Course Credit to that list so I can select it… and if possible if that is selected make total due 0.00.

Thank you in advance EE4 rocks!

Hello,

Development for mobile apps are planned for later this year and will be similar to the mobile apps for Event Espresso 3 so you can use them for check-in.

Secondly withing EE4 is there a way for it to remember names and emails so when I am registering people myself manually I don’t have to keep typing the same ones in.

On the question above, are you attempting to register registrants/attendees through your account? If not, could you share an example of a registration where something like the above would be needed.

Manual registrations do not support the promotions system at this time.

There isn’t a way to zero out the amount that is due but I do have an idea on handling this. If you are applying a payment through the transaction details screen, then their is a way to create a new entry that could be used for admin purposes. However, it would be a “label” and cannot zero out any balances due.

Would that work for you?

Thanks

Lorenzo

Thanks Lorenzo.

1. Looking forward to app 🙂
2. I am logging into the dashboard of EE4 and registering a client for a course myself plugging in their name email address etc.
3. OK is it a possibility in the future? Actually if there were a way a promotion code could be valid for one time use only per person this would be a fix too. It doesn’t seem like this is possible though right?
4. Yes I think that is what I am asking how can I add a label to say used Course Credit so that I know.

4.

Hi there,

Much of what you’re looking to do can be done on the front end of the site by using a few existing tools:

A) You install the WP User integration. This allows for storing user account info and if you’re logged in as that user, their details will automatically be filled out on the reg form.

B) You can automatically “switch” to that user by installing the User Switching add-on.

C) When you’re registering for the event on the front end, you can input promotion codes. It should be noted that you can set up a promotion for one use by setting its limit to 1 and assign it to 1 event.

A) I installed however I already have lots of registrations for different members… is there a way to associate already registered events with a user?

B) Would that be the roles and permissions add on?

C) That’s perfect! If I want a promotion code to be valid for 1 use PER user is this possible?

B) If you are talking about the Roles and Permisssions Add on it looks like that is only available for EE3 and I have EE4.

If all of the registrations are assigned to the same contact (the same details were used on all of the users previous registrations) then the next time they register whilst logged into the account EE should link the contact with that user account.

The plugin Josh is referring to is the User Switching plugin.

It allows you to switch to other users that are within your site (as if you had logged in as them)

You would need to create a Promo code unique for each user and provide that code to each user. Currently there is no way to limit a promo code on a per user basis.
