Hello,

I installed the app on my android phone and tried to login but having this error:

Sorry, you are not allowed to list events. Missing permissions:
ee_read_events, ee_read_others_events, ee_read_private_events

I am using GoDaddy for my hosting. I also tried the one I found in Google from your support where I need to install a plugin and change something in .htaccess.

I checked this one – http://veterinarydentistry.net/wp-json/ee/v4.8.36/events/

And I think the json is generated fine.

Please help. The site is http://veterinarydentistry.net

Which .htaccess file did you change, and what change did you make?

That post was from almost a year ago and has out of date information.

The documentation has the up to date information on how to work around servers that don’t support passing the Authorization header:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/ee4-event-apps/#troubleshooting

In order to help you further, I need to know which .htaccess file you edited. Was it the .htaccess file in the server’s root directory or was it an .htaccess file in another location?

it is the root directory. the one in public_html folder

So if there’s an .htaccess file in the root directory and also one in the public_html folder, I think you’ll need to edit the one in root. The edit that we recommend making is you add the following:

# Begin Custom htaccess
SetEnvIf Authorization "(.*)" HTTP_AUTHORIZATION=$1
# End Custom htaccess

Immediately before the line that has

# BEGIN WordPress

Thanks for trying that. If you can complete the secure form on this page someone from Event Espresso staff can investigate further.
