Trying to scan tickets from an event on 8/22 (we usually scan after the event just so we have a record of who showed up to a free event) and I’m unable to check in (or check out) anyone from the mobile app. Using the latest versions of the APP, EE and the Ticketing add-on, services and JSON add-on. When scanning the QR code I get the declined symbol and the message “All Tickets Already Checked In”; when clicking the check-in button I get “Adding of date checked-in failed:”

The people in question are shown as not attended in the EE WordPress plug-in. This worked a few days ago and nothing has been changed in our configuration. And I’ve tried it on an iPad and iPhone both with the same results, both using the latest app version. Any ideas?
Thanks
Chris Berry

Hi Christopher,

Can you let us know what the version numbers are for these apps so we can investigate? Thanks.

Hi Christopher,

Can you try deactivating and re-activating the ticketing add-on? The columns that track the date checked in were recently added and may not have been created when you updated.

Yes, that seems to have worked, I can scan and check in and out. Thanks very much! One other thing I just noticed in the syncing up between the mobile app and the WordPress back end — no one who was Added by Admin appears in the list of attendees in the app. Let me know if I should open up another ticket for that.

Hi Christopher,

I double checked this on a test site and the attendees that were added by the admin display in the app. Can you go into the app’s settings and make sure it’s set to a number of attendees that allows you to view all the attendees registered for this event?

This is from the documentation:

If you have more than 100 events, attendees, or registrations you’ll need to update the app’s default settings. You can go into the iOS device settings and scroll down past the apps developed by Apple to where you see individual app settings. There you can tap Event Espresso and go into its settings and adjust the default settings as needed.

That did it — much appreciated! Looks like we got everything.
