I see you have a plugin that can send students a reminder before an event happens – is there a system where we could send auto messages via email (or text) to the attendees if something like Fire or Snow has caused cancellation?
There are a few ways you can do this, but not automated in the same way the AUEN add-on you are referring to is.
You could send the registrants a batch email by viewing the registrations on the event:
Event Espresso -> Events -> {hover over event} -> Registrations.
If you click the checkbox next to the registrations you can ten click a ‘Batch’ button at the bottom of the list to send the select registrations a message.
Another option to change the registration status to cancelled and trigger the ‘Registration Cancelled’ notification. That can be set to a custom message template on the event itself so you could create a ‘Cancelled Due to Snow’ message type, set that on the event and then cancel all of the registration to trigger that message.
It depends on what you will be doing with those registrations if that will work, so do either of those sound like what you are trying to do?
