I’m very keen to upgrade to EE4 (pricing options, interface etc, appear MUCH better) but I can’t do so until until a Stripe gateway appears. Do you have any news/timescale on when a dedicated gateway might appear?
I believe it would be one of the most significant gateways for EE users (As with many here, Stripe is quite significant to my events and I’m not about to use Mijireh which adds too much in fees.)
We do not have an estimate on that gateway at this time. Part of the delay is rewriting the payment gateway system to allow for better support of various payment gateways.
Once this has been done, we’ll be introducing gateways on a much quicker schedule.
Hello Thomas! I wanted to share an update on two recent enhancements to the Stripe payment gateway add-on for Event Espresso 4.
The first is zip/postal code validation (Validate the billing ZIP code). When this is enabled, then Stripe will only approve a payment with a bank card if the zip/postal code matches the bank card.
The next enhancement is for collecting the billing name and address for a registrant/attendee (Collect the user’s billing address). By default, Stripe does not collect this information and the email address is used for the cardholder name.
Both of these options are off by default but can be turned on through WP-admin –> Event Espresso –> Payment Methods –> Stripe.
