Hello, The Android App is version 2.0 and we are running Event Espresso Version 3.1.35.2.P with Ticketing Version 2.0.10.2.p. Also, problems using IPad version of the app (IOS 7), In this case the app doesn’t hang but returns a message “No Events” / “Query parameter ‘q’ not a valid parameter of resource ‘Event’. I would appreciate your help please. |

Hi Rob, Sorry for any trouble you are having. The Android issue sounds like you havent got the Services files added, if you can provide a link to your site I can check this. The Ipad issue is harder for me to test (I’m not an Apple person) but the first thing to check is that you have the latest app installed, it will be the HD version – https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/event-espresso-hd/id604494948 |

Thanks Dean; the site is at svc.org.au |

BTW, The Ipad is already running the latest HD version. |

Hi Rob, OK, let’s deal with the Android issue first. You need to install the Espresso Services files. This is not a plugin and requires FTP access. There are instructions and download here https://eventespresso.com/wiki/espresso-ticketing/#services The iPad is a different beast, it uses the JSON API and looking at your site it seems the settings are not correct. Please go to the API Settings in the Event Espresso menu and change the “Allow Public API Access?” option to Allow. That should resolve both of them but if not please let me know. |

Thanks Dean, Cheers, |
Hi Rob, This might be a tricky one. There’s a possibility that the iPad app errors are related to the site being installed on a Zeus server. We typically recommend going with an Apache or an Nginx because those are what we develop and test on. Your host may be able to migrate the site onto a supported server. It would be good to rule out a possible plugin conflict first though. This can be done by deactivating all the plugins installed on the site except for Event Espresso and its API plugin. |

Hi Josh, |
Hi Rob, Do you have access to another server that you could test on first? Ideally it would be an Apache or Ngnix server (although I have a LiteSpeed server and have had success with using it with basic Event Espresso functionality.) If you do have another server to test on, you could copy the plugins over and import the database with the WP migrate DB plugin and test it out there to be sure. |
