I have paid for another year and made sure my license code is correct. I continue to get this error when I try to update the plugin: “An error occurred while updating Event Espresso: Update package not available.”
Downloading the latest version and installing causes it to see that there is already a directory that exists.
If you go the manual installation route, you’ll need to delete the older copy of the Event Espresso plugin that’s there. There are more update tips here:
Although there arew plenty of plugins to do this for you, such as BackUpWordPress
De-activating and deleting Event Espresso does not alter the details stored within the database (which is where all your Event details are) so you can safetly remove the current version, then upload the new version and activate.
However, just to note, I can see your site is currently using EE3, are you staying with EE3 currently or wanting to update to EE4? (they are separate systems)
I would love to update as EE4 has some key features I have been looking for but was worried about transitioning during a registration period. If I can follow the above procedure I would be happy to update.
Has the QR code plugin been released for EE4 yet (even if its in pre-release?)
The ticketing add-on for Event Espresso 4 is available as a prerelease but you would need to have the ticketing add-on for Event Espresso 3 already on your account to access it.
Also, the ticketing add-on requires Event Espresso 4.5 which is the next major release (currently being finalized).
