I have read this ticket https://eventespresso.com/topic/from-ampm-to-24-hours/ and it does not apply to me.

I am running WordPress in English, but need the date, time and currency settings to be Danish (so 24h format, dd/mm/yyyy and Danish Kroner)

WordPress general Settings
On the WordPress settings page I have set the

  • Timezone to Copenhagen
  • Date Format to 03/17/2016
  • Time format to 11:43
  • Language to English

See settings here: http://grab.by/ORce

Event Espresso – General Settings
On the Even Espresso settings page I have set the

  • Country to Denmark
  • Zip/Postal code to 2300
  • City to København

See settings here: http://grab.by/ORcy

It’s a completely fresh WordPress 4.4.2 with a completely fresh Event Espresso 4 Core Regular v4.8.36.p

I changed the WordPress settings before installing Event Espresso 4

Hi there,

Where do you see a problem with the date/time format?

Event Espresso should use the date and time format set within your WordPress settings for output.

The currency is based on the Country you have selected within General Settings, which is Denmark and therefor shuold use Kroner, do you see something different?

In several places.

Ticket module of the event (where you make/edit an event): http://grab.by/OS10

In the front end it looks correct: http://grab.by/OS1e

I also have problems with the country selector. I can only pick America or Canada. (and then it wants me to pick a state, which obviously i cant)

Hello,

Please see this video on how to change the countries that are used in Event Espresso:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/change-countries-used-event-espresso/#video

On the event editor, here is how to change the format:

https://eventespresso.com/topic/localisation-of-datepicker-in-ee4/#post-171758

It can be added to your site through a site specific plugin (https://eventespresso.com/wiki/create-site-specific-plugin-wordpress-site/).

Thank you for excellent feedback.

I have one more issue that might be related to this.

On the venue page, it says “unknown” right after the city. I am thinking this is the “state” as I have not selected one. I can work around it by adding my city as a state and then not selecting a city, but this is quite a hassle. This problem comes up because Denmark has no states (small country)

See: http://grab.by/OSi6

The problem is that this will take forever adding all the venues.

Is there a way to remove the “state” selection?

Hi,

To remove the ‘Unknown’ state from the address formatting you can use the function shown here:

https://gist.github.com/lorenzocaum/5e2658a1f7e7a9a6b5c0

Sounds like you want to use this format:

//Set the format for Denmark addresses.
$address_formats[ 'DK' ] = "{address}%{address2}%{city}%{zip}%{country}";

You can add the function to a child themes functions.php file or create a Site Specific Plugin.
