Hi

I have tried searching online and looked for settings when editing an event. Is it possible to allow an event to be edited by all Event Master Admins plus another chosen user of lower responsibility?

Thanks

Alex

Hi,

With the Roles and Permissions Pro (Basic also needed) you can assign users the Event Manager role. Any event created by that person can only be edited by them and the admins.

It doesn’t work the other way, if an Admin creates it the Manager cannot edit it.

Where does a user with event manager permissions go to create a new event? When logging into wp-admin as a user with this permission they have access to none of the event espresso plugin.

Thanks

Have you set up the event manager role with the minimum page permissions as illustrated in this guide:

The only options I get are Event Administrator and Admin, should there be a 3rd Event Manager role? I have tried using a role created by another plugin (s2Member level 3) who is able to create a new Event however cannot edit their own event once created.

Thanks

Alex

With the Permissions add-ons (there’s a basic version and a Pro version), they each create the new roles and they do not work with roles created by other plugins. The Basic version creates the Event Admin role, and the Pro version adds the event manager role.

Thank you for clarifying, I didn’t realise there were 2 different permissions add-ons. We have already paid $180 for the business license to the site, am I correct in saying it would cost an additional $100 to allow a user to add and edit only their own events?

Yes, that’s a Pro feature.

Sorry, a quick question about the pro features. Would the event manager get an email when someone registers for their events or would the email only be sent to the email chosen in the event espresso general options?

Thanks

Alex

By default they would not. There is a feature in the event editor where you can add more email addresses under event options that will cc the registration notification to the additional email address.
