When a person registers on my site, they pick a state for their address, but when you look at the state in contact information after they have completed the registration process, they are all Alaska. This worked a couple of weeks ago. I have disabled all plugins except for Event espresso and still they default to Alaska. |

Hi, are you seeing this issue on the latest version of Event Espresso: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/ee4-changelog/ Also, have you removed or deactivated any states in the Countries tab for Event Espresso within your WP dashboard? — |

Hi, Shon |

Hi, Are you able to duplicate the issue by completing a registration on your end? I’m trying to reproduce this issue and it show the correct state instead of Alaska in the contact details screen: http://cl.ly/image/0e271I3l2S3q — |

Please see for image of wrong state: https://www.dropbox.com/s/4bue06dcj6mtedn/wrong%20state.docx?dl=0 Thanks, |

Hi Shon, what happens if you manually change that entry through the contact details page? Does it still show as Alaska? — |
|
Hi Lorenzo, |

Hi Shon, Could you please create a temporary WordPress admin login so we can take a closer look at this issue? Please share that temporary login through the secure link below: If any custom coding is in use such as code snippets that you may have found in our support forums, then do also let us know in the form above. Thank you. — |

Hi, I spot checked some of the registrations and some had addresses that were for Alaska. Others were for different locations and had a different state selected and I did find one with an incorrect state option. It sounded like all registrations were showing as Alaska in the WP dashboard but that does not appear to be the case here. Could you try a test registration and then update this support post? — |

I just tried with my name a state of florida, and it put the state of Alaska. I have been updating the registrations to the correct state as they register. I noticed that yours created correctly, am I doing something wrong? |
|
Hi, I’m not sure yet what is happening but we can keep troubleshooting. My earlier test registration (name included TEST) was through the WP dashboard. The newest registration was through the front-end for an event. In both cases, the state was correct and did not show as Alaska. I was also able to change your test registration from Alaska to Florida. What web browser are you using? Then I can try this out with that web browser. — |

I am using IE 11 |

Hi Shon, It turns out there’s a bug in the reCAPTCHA module that’s changing the state answer to Alaska. There will be a fix in an upcoming release. If you disable the reCAPTCHA feature it will resume correctly recording the answers to the State input field. |
|
Thank you. Will this be an reCAPTCHA fix or an event espresso fix? Thanks, |
|
It will be a fix in Event Espresso that involves doing work on its reCAPTCHA module. |

Hi Shon, A little update on this: There is a fix for the issue that you reported here, and it’s included in the latest release of Event Espresso 4.6/ The changelog for version 4.6.21.p can be found here: |
