My Events either in all status only showing Large Feature Image. I used to see several items on the events page such as Event Description, Date and Times, Ticket Selector, People and Venue Info. Something changed and I now only see a large Feature Image.

Hi there,

The key to fixing this will be to find that “something” that was changed. Have any new plugins been added, or theme settings changed or updated recently?

This maybe causing the issues… I added a few plugins, also update the theme however a child theme was active. Im sorry I really dont know what changed because i did not check the event page after every change I made. I dont even know where to start looking for a problem. I did submit a priority ticket for this after spending a few hours trying to figure it out. here is an upcomming event example for reference. http://www.theprepareinstitute.org/events/rockville-md-sept-6-sept-13/

OK I found the change that affected the events pages. In Thrive Dashboard > Theme Options > Style and Layout Settings there’s a “Default Blog Post Layout” option. That option was changed to “Narrow”. The way that option works in that theme is it does more than just change blog posts, it changes all posts that would normally use the single.php template, or variations of that template. So in order to use the custom single events template that’s in the child theme, the “Default Blog Post Layout” must be set to the “Default” option.

I’ve changed the setting back to “Default” and the event pages display as they did before.
