All email sending twice

In the basic configuration without any modification, all email are sending twice to all – admin and customer.
Seems to be not a common event espresso task, but I can not figur out what is the cause…

Hi there,

Can you go into the Message templates editor for one of the emails, and do a test send? Does it send once or twice there?

I do not get it – tried to find documentation and usabiltiy in the backend together, it is confusing how to handle messaging. I am missing a straight concept how to handle messaging. Not to speak about templates and coding…

I don not find how to send a single TESTEMAIL, as i am afraid I am not sure if the whole data-system get this mail…

No worries, and you don’t need to edit the message templates. Instead, you’re going to send a test message to your email address. Can you go to Event Espresso > Messages, then click on one of the edit links below a message type. Then, you’ll see a Test Send form, and it will look like this.

Are you using any SMTP plugins to send the emails or are you using your the setup provided by your host?

That’s correct, the test emails do not use real registration data so often the links will not work.
