For some reason, when delegates are registering multiple people for a single event, all registrants are coming through with the primary registrant’s details, despite them being filled in correctly.
This problem has been occurring for about two weeks. I updated EE, and it didn’t seem to be an issue, so I forgot about it. On looking back, it was only not an issue as no one registered multiple registrants.
It has happened again now, and it creates extra admin work as well as reflecting poorly on us.
I can reproduce this locally and have created a ticket for our developers to fix.
It is happening because the ‘Last Name’ field has been removed from the personal info question group which EE is currently checking for during the registration. A quick fix is to temporarily include the last name question within the group again whilst we work on a fix.
That’s great — thanks. Including the last name is actually more convenient for us (for admin purposes) so I think that may be more than a temporary fix.
Update: The ticket that Tony mentioned earlier was completed and the fix is included with Event Espresso 4.9.24.p.
