Hello,
I have been in touch with Stripe about adding AliPay to my WP website (EE4). Currently, I have Stripe as my payment method on my site and am only accepting credit cards. We have many Chinese clients and as Stripe doesn’t accept UnionPay cards on Canadian sites, i am looking into AliPay and WeChatPay.
According to Stripe, I have to test Alipay first before they can activate it.
I am not a developer and am wondering how to go about testing this, and whether EE4 supports this?

Hi,
I’m afraid the EE4 Stripe gateway isn’t compatible with Alipay. The reason being is the EE4 Stripe gateway does not have options to add in new Payment methods via the Stripe Sources API.
What you could do is contract with a developer that has experience with Stripe and they could build you a custom gateway that would allow for using Alipay. Codeable.io is one good place to find experienced developers that know Stripe.

Sorry, another related question. Can we set up Motion Pay on our EE4 site? It, of course, would not be connected to Stripe but can it be added in by a developer? https://motionpay.ca, it accepts Alipay and WeChat pay.
