Hi, after the recent big update I cannot display venues. The venues don’t even show on the event editpage. Neither do they display in the event or the table. https://www.kicollege.de/shiatsuraum/ |
Hi there, First, let’s get your venues fixed, we’ll troubleshoot the date issue after that. Did you update to version 5.0.0 before the latest current version (5.0.3) or have you just updated from 4.10.46 to 5.0.3? |

Hi Tony, I don’t really know. Usually I do all updates |
Ok, if you do all updates you likely had v5.0.0 That’s ok, we identified an issue within v5.0.0-5.0.2 which prevents venues from migrating properly and have a fix within 5.0.3 (which your site is currently running) but we need to force the migration to happen again by temporarily installing a plugin on your site. I’ll give you a plugin you install on the site but need to explain how it will work first. We recommend you create a database backup before moving forward just to be safe. When you install this plugin as soon as you activate it, it will put Event Espresso into maintenance mode, if you go to Event Espresso -> Mainntenance it will look something like this: https://monosnap.com/file/W7K0GEYyalzUrArSyAObXdV2QvXNm5 Click the ‘My Database is Backed up, continue’ button. It should show you the migration step which looks like this: https://monosnap.com/file/yicG9CcSWr3HXrbmdIU3sIRzT9uQCz Click Begin Database Update. You should get a popup saying the migration is finished, click next, and then next here: https://monosnap.com/file/TKmQljgKJRMp9C7PVM4MjfTTwNV5KS EE should come back out of maintenance mode and your venues should be set again. Now you can deactivate and delete the plugin you just installed. Oh, and the plugin can be downloaded from HERE. Add that to the site in Dashboard -> Plugins -> Add new -> Upload plugin. |

Great, that did the job. Thanks. Any ideas on the date issue. That is not so urgent though. |
Awesome! I’m glad that worked. A friendly reminder to delete the above plugin (it only runs code on activation but still best to get rid of it as it’s not needed at all now).
The second date is actually from your time range output. On the site, go to Dashboard -> Settings -> General. What is your Date Format and Time Format setting set to? |
|
|
Thank you, I fixed it. |
Awesome! What was the issue? |
|
|
Since I didn’t want the time to be displayed, I deleted the time format thing (d, m, y). I just deleted it and left it blank. That lead to EE displaying the date twice. Strange but true. This wasn’t the case before the update though. |
Hmm I just checked this comparing EE5 to v4.10.46 and get the same result. Can you check what the previous version you were using was? If in Event Espresso -> Maintenance -> System information. Search for ‘ee activation history’ and you’ll find a list of all of the versions you’ve used. What are say the last 4 version numbers you ran? |

Hi, sorry for the delay. I was offline for some days. Sorry I am not a developer and don’t really know how to get more information. Best wishes |
What you have posted is exactly what I needed, so thank you 🙂 I’ll do some digging into this and see what’s going on. |
