since i made the updates yesterday my attendee short codes doesn’t work anymore in the Advanced Custom Fields. i used the WYSIWYG-Editor and paste the short codes in.
first question: whats the right short code? this [ESPRESSO_EVENT_ATTENDEES datetime_id=”1″] or this [ESPRESSO_EVENT_ATTENDEES datetime_id=1]? Both doesn’t work correctly.
what’s strange for me is when you paste for example this in the Advanced Custom Fields WYSIWYG-Editor:
[ESPRESSO_EVENT_ATTENDEES datetime_id=”1″]
[ESPRESSO_EVENT_ATTENDEES datetime_id=”2″]
[ESPRESSO_EVENT_ATTENDEES datetime_id=”3″]
it shows three times the attendees from datetime_id=”1″
when you change the order it shows three times the attendees from the first short code.
in the “regular” events editor window it worked fine. All attendees from all three date times will show up. Only in the Advanced Custom Fields it doesn’t work but it is important for the events overview for me that this worked like before the update in the Advanced Custom Fields.
I can advise that you change the field so that instead of the end user having to copy and paste in shortcodes into a wysiwyg field, you change that custom field to a Show attendee list Yes or No. Then, in your template you add the code to display the attendee list if Yes and not display if No.
The [ESPRESSO_EVENT_ATTENDEES] shortcode was never intended to be used outside the main content area and we’re not in a position to support it being used in any other way.
thanks, i’ve managed it like your advice with just a “Yes/No” Field!
