after registering, person is not taken to payment options

After registering for a program at http://everydayart.ca the person is not take directly to the payment page. Apparently this worked fine before I changed the theme. So my questions are:

1. Could changing the theme affect this functionality?

2. How does one set it up so that soon as one is registered, they are taken to payment options? Currently right now they are just emailed confirmation and the admin has to send an invoice manually.

Hi Tracy,

This seems to be working fine when I sign up for an event. Here’s a screenshot of the Payment page that I see after signing up for an event:

I just tried it again once i click “continue and take me to payment page” button it takes me to a screen that says this:

Thank you! Your registration is confirmed for 1 Everyday Art events

A confirmation email has been sent with additional details of your registration.

should i video tape it?

Hi there,

That will not be necessary. The message you saw indicates that the event was either free or there was a 100% discount applied. Which event did you try registering for, and were you logged in or logged out of the site? Also, is the Members add-on installed, and if so, is there a price set for members?

how do i see a list of members to know if i am one? that could be the only thing because i tested it logged out and the price was $35 in the cart when i went to check out

i’m not sure how to check if the members add on is installed or not but i can say that there is a section called “member options” where every setting is either blank or “no”

I just tested it with being completely logged out ..used a fake name/email//address…everything and it still did the same thing.
the event i’m using is the first one on the register page  Artful Pub May 20th

Hi there,

I checked again and the registration process goes through as expected if it’s a single registration. However, if you add the same event to the cart, and go through the cart registration process, you’re not taken to the payment options. Which is really strange.

I’d like to investigate this further. Is it possible to send log in and FTP credentials? If so please send them via the contact form on this page:

Hi Tracy,

In this case I suggest updating Event Espresso and the add-ons to the latest versions. I checked in the admin and the support key that was entered there wasn’t correct, so you would not have been able to do the one click updates. I corrected the support key issue and you will be able to update the plugins now.

As an aside, since it doesn’t look like you’re using the Roles and Permissions add-on’s features, you can deactivate it. It best to only install and activate the add-ons that you actually need.
