I setup an affiliate account with EE and enabled “Show a link to Event Espresso in your event pages?” in the General Settings, adding my affiliate ID in the given form field.
On testing the live event page footer link, I’m taken to a page that doesn’t appear to include my affiliate ID anywhere, just a plain link to the homepage of EventEspresso. Maybe this is because I’m logged into the site making edits, but since I don’t do affiliate marketing for a living, I just want to make sure that if someone does purchase EE from my event page’s footer link, I’m given credit for the sale. Normally on an affiliate link, you’ll see some sort of unique identifier in the URL itself.
Hi Shirell, I was able to see this issue in the latest version and I’ve create a bug report so we can get this corrected. The URL should use your affiliate ID if one has been set. Here is an example:
Hey Lorenzo, Thanks for the quick response. Can you keep me posted as to when this bug is fixed? Any ETA on the bug fix? Shoot me an email or respond to this thread so I know when everything is working and I can run an EE update from WordPress.
Hi Shirell, I don’t have an estimate of when it will be ready as it was just created but we do notify our members once fixes are available.
Thanks and do enjoy your weekend!
