Hey Garth or josh or whoever else is still around. Hope things are going well for you all. I am running an overseas event that we are not to keen on canceling do to lack of interest so we are using a 3 step process. Once we get a an expression of interest the next stage is to request a deposit and then final payment. My question is ” how best to handle this ” My customers may get the shits if they have to enroll in 3 separate tickets. ( one for interest, 2 for deposit and 3 for final payment ). Is there anyway to manage part payments in event esspresso or do you have any advice on how to handle this situation. I hope I have given enough info to make sense cheers guys and really appreciate this forum |
Hi Brent, They should only need to enroll once. The way to make this possible is you set the Default Registration Status to “Not Approved”. Then if you get enough interest, you switch those registrations to have “Pending Payment Status” and send them a bill to pay the deposit. Then after you received their deposit, you can set their registration to Approved, then you send them an invoice where they can pay in full. |

Hi Josh. Thanks for that. I was able to follow your stops to change the default to ” not approved ‘ and then click on the ” Set registrations to pending payment and notify ” button which sent a payment request and link. My confusion lies in if I make this amount the deposit amount how to do then try and get the balance for the remainder later in the year ? Just to clarify I a confused how to get from seeing the payment for a deposit come through then getting a further payment down the track. I hope that makes sense ? |
Hi Brent, Currently Event Espresso does not officially support partial payments. |
