Can anyone give me direction on the best https plugin to use? We have a SSL certificate and are being hosted by GoDaddy. Thanks!

Hi, we have a guide for WordPress HTTPS here:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/espresso-sslhttps/

Its a free plugin that is available from the WP plugins directory.

Ho Orlando, that plug in site says it hasn’t been updated in over 2 years and is no longer supported. Is there another site you recommend? Safe redirect manager (https://wordpress.org/plugins/safe-redirect-manager/developers/) has over 20,000 downloads and is rated very favorably. I am concerned about using an unsupported product

I installed the redirect plugin and now I’m getting the following error when I try to check out… This webpage has a redirect loop

ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS

Help!

Hi, the plugin will still work with the current version of WordPress.

Did you secure only the registration checkout pages?

Also, are you using any existing ecommerce software on your site such as WooCommerce?

Got it work by deactivating and reinstalling. The next problem that comes up is when I finish filling out the registration page, and select the “proceed to payment options” button I get the red-boxed message “This resistration step could not be completed. Please refresh the page and try again.”

When I refreshed the page it takes me to the payment page. I have recaptcha set up and it bypassed that. Any idea as to what is going on?

We are only using EE4 as e-commerce. We are also using the Infusionsoft plug-in

The plug-in is not giving me a “clean” https connection. Any other advice on how to make this work correctly?

Hi there,

There is a couple of issues with the set-up currently.

Looking within console when viewing your event you’ll see this – http://take.ms/PJpKL

Notice the ‘dev’ subdomain is being used for the images, I’m assuming you are setting up EE on a subdomain then migrating the site to live? If so how are you doing the migration?

Hi Tony. Thanks for the reply. I was setting up the events while the site was still under development and was hosted on our developer’s server. How do I fix this? Do I need to repopulate the media library with current images now that we are on our own server?

How did you migrate the site from development to live?

The developer moved the files via FTP from their server to our server at GoDaddy. Is there anything else specific I should ask them? They are designers and have not assisted us in getting EE up and running.

Sounds like when the site was migrated from server A to server B, they didn’t migrate the file paths in the database. That’s why it’s loading insecure images from dev.brushstudio.net. The WP Migrate DB plugin is recommended when migrating data from one server to another. You can also use the Database search and replace tool available from here:
